Go beyond positive affirmations, with afformations
I AM LOVED.
I AM HEALTHY.
I AM BEAUTIFUL.
I AM RICH.
I AM…
Affirmations are words or phrases aimed to change your conscious and subconscious mind. You are what you think, and your life stems from your thoughts. What you think, changes your personal vibration and your behavior and outlook on life. Positive words and phrases rewire your brain, shift your emotions, and your actions.
How many of you have used affirmations to become more positive, motivated, and energized?
Do you have them posted on your bathroom mirror, inside your purse, on your notebook?
Do they work?
Do you believe the words you are saying? Truly believe them, deep inside your gut?
Or is there a small voice inside of your head saying “yeah right!”, “maybe one day, but not now”...
According to Noah St. John, we are going about this ‘affirmation’ thing all wrong. Back in the 90’s, after years of daily affirmations and no results, Noah St. John “realized that the human brain is always asking, and searching for answers to questions.”
If human thought is the process of asking and searching for answers to QUESTIONS, why are we going around making statements we don’t believe? (Noah St. John)
Noah began to ask himself better questions instead of saying statements he didn’t believe- it changed everything. He called it AfformationsⓇ, instead of Affirmations.
By saying affirmations, we are trying to make a thought ‘firm’, even though we may not believe it in our hearts. So, first we need to begin by giving this statement, or thought, some ‘form’. In order to manifest anything, you need to give your inspirational statement some ‘form’, you need to ‘form’ your new belief structure.
If you think about it, you’re already using afformations, possibly negative ones, such as “why am I doing this wrong?”, “why can’t I figure this out?”. We just need to turn those negative afformations into positive ones.
LET'S TRY IT OUT:
Take all the affirmations you have written down in your notebook, on your walls, on your mirrors, and turn them into questions.
Afformation: WHY AM I SO LOVED?
Afformation: WHY AM I SO HEALTHY?
Afformation: WHY DO I HAVE SO MUCH ABUNDANCE?
Why, always use ‘Why’ when forming afformations?
“Afformations are a specific form of empowering questions that start with the word Why. When you ask questions that assume that what you want is already true, you will activate that part of your brain that will seek to make it so. And that is what will unleash your hidden power to TAKE ACTION.” (Noah St. John)
We’ve been using afformations for months and they are magic! Try it out and let us know what you think at info@vasantihealth.com.
